We’ve heard from many of you on what you’d like covered and are excited about the line-up we have in store. 2021’s Speaker Series will be free to you and will cover a variety of topics from how COVID has impacted employee engagement and the healthcare industry, to a panel of experts who will discuss employee mental health resources that can be used to help alleviate the stress of the ongoing impacts of the pandemic.

What’s coming?

This year, we’ll feature one event per month—whether it’s one speaker or a panel of experts on timely topics related to anything from finding your personal strengths to how to build an effective Diversity and Inclusion program within your organization.

Mental Health was on the rise before the global pandemic hit and now it has taken center stage as the world emerges from social isolation that COVID-19 created. Join our panel of experts as they discuss how to address mental and emotional health issues in the workplace, our schools and communities that could linger long after the pandemic has subsided.

Healthcare Heroes: The future of healthcare for employees, employers and communities

Covid-19 has made a lasting mark on our hospitals and health systems, forcing accelerated change to ensure the best health outcomes for employers, employees and communities, thus making them true heroes. We've assembled three of our own healthcare heroes for an interactive session as they offer insights on what they are doing for their employees wellbeing, how they're aligning benefits to meet those needs and why expanding their reach into the communities they serve is vitally important.

Resiliency in action: Overcoming uncertainty in life and finding a purpose

Jillion Potter is one of Team USA's most remarkable stories after coming back from a broken neck in 2010, beating Stage III cancer in 2014 to becoming captain of the U.S. women's rugby sevens team at the Rio Olympics in 2016. Jillion shares her inspirational story of mental strength, persistence, and athletic aptitude as she endured more physical and mental adversity at the young age of 34 than many of us will ever see in our lifetime. Jillion's fantastic story is one of bravery, resilience, and determination. It’s a reminder that in times of uncertainty, how we choose to respond can have a major impact on its outcome.

Session 5:
Overcoming gender and ethnic inequality in life and professional sports

Dr. John Carlos is a medaled USA Track and Field Hall of Fame athlete and Olympian. Competing in the 200 meters, Carlos earned the Gold in the 1967 Pan American Games, and the Bronze in the 1968 Olympics. In a conversation style presentation, Dr. Carlos addresses overcoming gender and ethnic inequality in life and professional sports. Dr. Carlos gives vivid insight into the lives of civil rights advocates and human rights activists that imparted life impacting wisdom which later informs his journey.
